Join Us for Weekly Meetings!
We gather every Monday morning online and Tuesday evening, both in person and online, to cultivate mindfulness and community connection.
At Melbourne River Sangha, we believe that cost should never be a barrier to attendance. While some may contribute $10 or whatever they are able toward hiring the hall and occasional expenses, this is entirely voluntary.
In addition to our regular meetings, we also host special events like Days of Mindfulness, weekend retreats, social dinners, and visits to monasteries, offering opportunities for deeper practice and connection.

Our Sessions

Monday Morning Practice
The Monday morning meditation runs from 6- 6.30 am. It’s run by members of the Melbourne River Sangha community.
These sessions usually include the morning chant followed by either silent or guided sitting meditation. Joining these sessions can help you build a regular morning practice.
All sessions are held online via Zoom.

Tuesday Evening Practice
Our sangha meets each Tuesday evening to practice. All of our practice sessions are offered virtually. In addition, the Sangha meets at E-Vam Buddhist Institute fortnightly.
The agenda for our Tuesday evening sangha gathering rotates, but we always practice sitting meditation and dharma sharing. We also practice a variety of core mindfulness activities, including walking meditation, deep relaxation, recitation of the 5 Mindfulness Trainings, Touching the Earth, and dharma study. Details about each week's agenda are included in our weekly practice invitations.
